Halsey lists historic Los Feliz home for US$5.5 million

Halsey has put her Spanish Colonial Revival estate in Los Feliz on the market for $5.5 million (AUD $8,625,232).

The singer-songwriter, who purchased the home in 2023 for around $5 million, is selling the property after less than two years of ownership.

Designed by architect Arthur W. Larson in 1928, the 5,900-square-foot home holds Historic-Cultural Monument status and was originally built for restaurateur Clifford Clinton, founder of Cliftonโ€™s Cafeteria in Downtown Los Angeles.

Finance Monthly reports the estate sits on a 0.34-acre lot across from Griffith Park and features six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and an abundance of original 1920s charm, including stained glass windows, coffered ceilings, decorative wrought iron, and wood-burning fireplaces.

Inside, the home maintains its vintage character with arched doorways, Spanish tiles, and antique light fixtures.

The kitchen is a standout with its original robinโ€™s egg blue tiles, a navy La Cornue range, and a refurbished built-in Frigidaire refrigerator.

A butlerโ€™s pantry adds to its old-world appeal. Elsewhere, a home office showcases a hand-stenciled ceiling, intricate millwork, and a curved fireplace.

Upstairs, the bedrooms open onto Juliet balconies, while the bathrooms each retain their original tilework in shades of lilac, mint green, and butter yellow.

A basement home theatre comes with a starry sky ceiling, creating a cinematic retreat.

Outside, a swimming pool, bathhouse, and sundeck complete the backyard.

Halsey, who announced her engagement to actor Avan Jogia in September, is no stranger to the real estate market.

In 2019, she purchased a midcentury-modern home in Sherman Oaks before listing her Hollywood Hills residence.

She later bought Liam Payneโ€™s former Calabasas estate for $10.2 million in 2021 and sold her Sherman Oaks home soon after.

In 2023, she acquired this Spanish Colonial gem, which she is now preparing to part with just two years later.

The property, known as The Clifford Clinton Residence (HCM 997), is a rare piece of Los Feliz history, offering both privacy and architectural significance. With a gated 230-foot frontage, intricate ironwork, and bespoke stained glass details, it stands as a lasting piece of 1920s Los Angeles.
