Two of the most established companies in Victorian real estate, Buxton and Beller, have joined forces, forming a formidable partnership under the Buxton brand.
Founded in 1994, the Beller Groupโs Windsor office, led by Beller Group Director Andrew Fawell, became Buxton Stonnington on July 1, bringing the company to a total of 24 offices across the state.
While the company name has changed, the considerable team of more than 20 agents and support staff will continue to service its vast array of clients, including the management of over $1.5 billion in residential property assets overseen by Rae Tolley and her team.
โFor me, it was a matter of future proofing and evolving the business; doing whatโs best for our people and the company,” Andrew said.
“What I admire most is Buxtonโs innate ability to attract incredibly talented people to the business, which is vital to a brandโs longevity.
โBuxton has such a deep heritage with over 150 years in Melbourneโs real estate market. There is a lot of value in a company that has been through a significant number of property cycles.
Comparably, we have 25 years of history so joining forces makes sense strategically.โ
Priding itself on providing Victorians with a better real estate experience, Buxton CEO Nathan Jones said he was incredibly excited about the partnership and the acquisition of such experienced and quality operators into the group.
โBuxton is really well placed to continue increasing its market share in Stonnington. We have historically dominated Melbourneโs Bayside and South East, and weโve now taken strong leadership positions in Greater Geelong and Ballarat whilst having a growing presence in Melbourneโs Eastern suburbs,” Nathan said.
โThe Beller Group is one of Victoriaโs largest independently owned residential businesses in the industry. This collaboration, although borne out of opportunity, will allow us to extend our focus into the key blue chip suburbs within Stonnington.
โAs our network strengthens year on year, we are spending more time developing strategies to improve customer acquisition and advocacy, and this move was certainly a major part of our focus.โ
Also transforming is the highly successful Beller Project Marketing, led by Andrew and Co-Director Heath Thompson. The company has now become Projects by Buxton.
Responsible for some of Melbourneโs most successful boutique property developments, it will continue to provide market leading strategic advisory services to property developers, and will now be in a position to leverage the footprint of over 200 agents at Buxton.
Discussing the project marketing business, Heath said it was the fact that the companyโs work is not like its competitors that has allowed them to succeed for so long.
โIn the current market, developers need more than just a project marketing sales team; there are so many moving parts that you have to get right. Our clients come to us because they know theyโll get the right strategic advice from day one which leads to a successful sales campaign,” Heath said.
โWe do the hard yards from the beginning, providing advice from site acquisition, permits, design and funding, all the way through to the marketing and sales process.โ
Despite being a new brand, โProjects by Buxtonโ is anchored by the companyโs already-strong reputation within Melbourneโs property development space and the highly successful the team at Beller Project Marketing.
After recently achieving a 100 per cent sell out rate at the iconic MAST luxury residences on Brightonโs Martin Street, the team has already sold more than 40 per cent of ALIA McKinnon prior to the public release of the 30-apartment development on McKinnon Road, McKinnon.
โSimilarly to its residential arm, Beller Project Marketing is one of the stateโs best,” Nathan said.
“Buxton is confident we can continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients given the formidable team that will continue to be led by industry veterans, Andrew and Heath.
โWe wanted to have an all encompassing property ecosystem, so project marketing was an obvious next step for Buxton. The reliability and consistency of performance is what attracted us to Beller; we share very similar values in that we want to retain clients for life.
โIf you keep giving people good, honest and reliable advice, you can maintain that generational business. That is something Beller has done so well, and with them we know we can sustain this,โ Nathan concluded.
