CES 2017 top 10 must have tech gadgets

CES (The Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 ended with a bang this year as it marked its 50th anniversary as the world’s leading innovation and technology event. Here are some of the innovations that you might be hearing about and some that are likely coming soon to a listing near you. The expo has showcased close to 700,000 products since its inception in 1967 which includes world-changing innovations such as the VCR in 1970, the DVD in 1996, digital radio in 2000, Blu-ray recording standards in 2002, to name a few. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), this year’s expo was held from Jan 5-8 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada was also a one-stop-centre where hundreds of new tech gadgets were showcased to the world. We, at Elite Agent Magazine, have taken the liberty to hand-pick the 10 most desirable tech gadgets which we believe would make every agent’s life easier. 1. PROOF by Milo Sensors The first gadget that we thought would be cool to ALWAYS have is PROOF, a wristband that detects one's level of alcohol content in their blood. Fortunately, this Fitbit lookalike device keeps you on track from taking another new drink once your blood content alcohol levels gets too high. Connected Toaster by Griffin Technology It's absolutely critical to have the right start in the morning, and there is no better way to do that than with Griffin Technology University's Connected Toaster, This Bluetooth-enabled smart toaster which is controlled by a smartphone app aims to make your bread blues go away by getting it right, every time. Connected Mirror by Griffin Technology Once breakfast is done, and you decide to catch up on work while getting dressed, Connected Mirror [another genius invention by Griffin Technology University] makes sure you get your missed notifications from your phone shown to you on your mirror. It also displays the time, weather forecasts and any other information you want it to show. The updates will appear whenever you touch the mirror's surface, then disappear once done. Image: cnet.com 4. FridgeCam by Smarter Hungry, but not sure if you have enough ingredients to make yourself a nice home-cooked pasta? Considered that problem fixed with FridgeCam. FridgeCam is a small circular camera that is stuck onto the inner door of your refrigerator. So, every time you close the door, it snaps a photo of the contents and instantaneously and sends it to your smartphone in the Smarter app which can be pulled when you want to check your food supply. The camera and app combo are smart enough to know when you finish an individual product, by adding the item to your shopping list automatically. Image: Smarter 5. Robird by Clear Flight Solutions Ever watch the movie Sully starring Tom Hanks? Well, you would be happy to note that the Clear Flight Solutions‘ Robird, a bird shape drone was created to prevent live birds from getting too close to another aircraft. Image: techcrunch.com 6. SwagSurf Hoverboard by Swagtron It's kind of a hoverboard. Or is it a hydrofoil? Actually, it's an electric surfboard that folds into three which can glide along at up to 15mph with an estimated 44 minutes battery charge. This is basically a dream product for every real estate beach bum. And it's almost ready for testing in the ocean. Image: mashable.com 7. Oria by Sensorwake If you are a person who has trouble sleeping, then Oria, the scented alarm clock might just be the thing for you. Created by a company called Sensorwake, the clock offers patented scents around users' rooms to help improve the sleep quality of the individual. PowerRay by PowerVision If you enjoy fishing in your spare time, enthusiasts will be happy to note that PowerRay Fishfinder, will allow you take a nap while it finds a fish for you. Powered by sonar and LED, this drone detects fish of up to 40 meters away, while the bot can go up to 30-meter downs. A Wi-Fi connection sends data, video, and images up to distances of 70 meters to an iOS and Android app and operators can choose to receive alerts when something’s nearby. Fret not, as there a newly created wifi connected cat feeder will fix all those issues. Sony Bravia A1E TV Coming soon to a luxury listing near you, last but not least, check out this stand-less smart TV by Sony. Super cool, eh? This TV sits directly on the ground with a back leg that it leans against. The TV doesn’t come with side speakers as the sound will come from the screen itself using a new technology called Acoustic Surface that works by vibrating the glass.
