Experienced principal Craig Sewell is set for a fresh chapter as he takes the reins at Raine & Horne Randwick/Coogee.
Mr Sewell takes over from Terry Brandtman, who has been at the helm since 1977 and has become a cornerstone of the local market across Randwick, Coogee and Clovelly.
Mr Brandtman will shift to a sales position within Raine & Horne Randwick/Coogee, maintaining an ongoing presence in the team.
When reflecting on the change, Mr Sewell expressed his respect for Mr Brandtman’s legacy.
“Terry has been an influential figure in the industry, and I’m honoured to build upon the strong foundation he has laid for Raine & Horne Randwick/Coogee,” Mr Sewell said.
“I have been an acquaintance of Terry for a very long time, and he will remain an integral part of our team, contributing as a conjunction agent, ensuring continuity and preserving the strong relationships he has cultivated over the years.”
Having been deeply ingrained in the Eastern Suburbs real estate scene since 1991, Mr Sewell has built a team of about 25 dedicated professionals across real estate sales and property management.
“Throughout our journey, we’ve been recognised as finalists for Principal of the Year, showcasing our unwavering dedication to excellence,” he said.
Mr Sewell said there were several reasons for joining Raine & Horne, citing personal relationships and the brand’s offerings as influential factors.
“My association with individuals such Gerard Hill and Executive Chairman Angus Raine, along with the strategic opportunities presented by Raine & Horne, drew me towards this partnership,” he said.
“Joining Raine & Horne allows us to leverage their established systems and services, such as the first-to-market AI marketing platform Amplify, relieving us of the need to reinvent the wheel constantly.”
With a solid plan to expand their property portfolio of 1850 rentals, Mr Sewell is optimistic about the future.
“I’ve already had a chat with a couple of other principals in this region that have rent rolls that want to focus on sales,” he said.
“So, there are opportunities to pick up other rent rolls around Randwick.
“We aim to further enhance our position in the market by leveraging our expertise and the support offered by Raine & Horne.”
