On getting into real estate
I always had an interest in property and real estate and considered studying it at university, but instead went straight into real estate sales and have loved it ever since.
The happiest moment in my career
Realising that Iโd made a difference to a familyโs future when a little six-year-old girl drew a picture of her new home, her family, and me as the agent, helping them move in.
The most memorable moment
1 Trafalgar Street, Middle Ridge, because of the incredibly unique architecture. It was an impressive home and an honour to market and sell it.
Best advice heโs received
Donโt burn the candle from both ends, and donโt do what I did โ work 100 hours a week (seven days), without a work-life balance.
Biggest challenge
I think the biggest challenges for our industry are entering into the industry and being successful. There needs to be a better training platform than what is currently in place. Also, agents burning out. To solve all, I would suggest creating teams so that you can lean on one another, but also so that new agents can be properly trained and mentored.
Change for good?
Higher education in order to get a real estate licence.
โEliteโ agent means
Not income-based, but an agent who is profitable, with balance and within a team structure.
#WeAreRealEstate is a series of short interviews with 140 agents all over Australia exploring the industryโs hopes, concerns, future challenges, and what it really means to be an Elite Agent.
