Domain has launched a new feature on its app ‘Owners’ which make it easier for property owners to decide whether to rent, sell or just sit tight.
The feature lets owners see current, personalised information including demand for properties like theirs, how it has changed over time and its estimated value, all with the aim of helping them feel more confident in their next property move.
Domain for Owners also allows users to:
- Track your home’s current value and how it has changed over time
- View current demand for properties like yours – a temperature gauge reveals what the market is doing
- See suburb-level property movements, including recent sales in the area, as well as similar properties nearby for sale or rent
- Connect with top local agents
Domain’s Chief Consumer Officer Jason Chuck said they launched Domain for Owners to help Australians feel more informed and to see exactly where their property fits into wider market movements.
“It’s easy to get lost in the headlines around national or capital city property market movements,” Mr Chuck said.
“But what does it all mean for individual property owners specific to their local area and their property features?
“Domain for Owners is a big move for the industry. It’s the first time owners can see at this granular level, what current demand there is for their specific home. When you think about how that information can help homeowners make their next move, the potential is huge.
“We are just scratching the surface on offering a unique, personalised experience as we extend our relationship with consumers from the relatively short property search period, measured in months, to the decade-long ownership cycle.”
Domain’s Chief Product Officer Maty Paule said their research revealed there was a lot of uncertainty around owning a home, with so many options like renting, selling, refinancing and more, and Domain wanted to give owners the tools and confidence to make better property decisions.
“We’re committed to providing confidence for Australians along every step of their property journey and Domain for Owners is another way we’re helping to do just that,” Mr Paule said.
“This builds off the back of our recent launch of Domain for Agents, which enriches the value agents can provide their customers through a range of unique market and listing insights.
“These features are all developed specifically to help agents win new listings, make informed decisions for their campaigns and transact properties faster.”
