Known for its opulence, Dubai has set a new benchmark, with the city’s priciest home listed for a staggering US$204 million through Sotheby’s International Realty, United Arab Emirates.
The Marble Palace showcases the zenith of the city’s flourishing real estate market, reflecting a fusion of sophistication, magnificence, and inventive architectural designs, according to Architectural Digest.
George Azar, CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty in the UAE, expressed his excitement about the listing: “This market entry exemplifies Dubai’s innovative and forward-thinking property design approach,” he said.
“The Marble Palace stands as a testimony to this progressive trend.”
Influenced by Parisian properties of the Belle Époque period, The Marble Palace imbibes grandeur through its neoclassical façade, yet maintains a graceful restraint.
The interior, contrarily, unveils a lavish display of ornate designs, complete with gilded statuaries and opulent surface treatments.
Mr Azar shed light on the intricacies involved in the project, emphasising the dedication and time invested in creating the home.
“The project saw 70 artisans painstakingly applying 700,000 sheets of gold leaf over nine months,” he said.
“Such exceptional detailing reflects our team’s dedication and the exhaustive twelve-year research, which involved frequent European trips to study royal residences and palaces.”
Spanning 650 sq m, with an additional built-up area of 5574sq m, the mansion is one of the largest in the elite Emirates Hills neighbourhood.
Noteworthy features include a grand dining room with a coral reef installation, a crystal dining table, 160 marble columns, two hand-carved glass domes, a koi pond, indoor pool, steam room, sauna, 24-carat gold jacuzzi, a 200sq m techno-gym, and a 16-car garage.

Not only is this property the most expensive in Dubai, it also ranks high among the world’s priciest residences.
It’s marginally cheaper than the $250 million Central Park Tower penthouse and significantly underpriced compared to The Holme, a 205-year-old London mansion listed for $300 million.
