Elders Rural Real Estate Sales Specialist, Rob Rickard, has been recognised at the Elders Real Estate Awards as National Rural Salesperson of the Year, together with Victorian Salesperson of the Year for the seventh consecutive year.
Servicing the Camperdown and Mortlake region since 2001, Mr Rickard attributes his success to offering a high level of service to clients within his community and the support he receives from the wider Elders network.
Mr Rickard says that being part of a large network with a range of product offerings helps to deliver a better result for clients.
“I owe a lot of my knowledge to my local and national colleagues who I’ve learnt from over the years,” said Mr Rickard.
“Being part of such an extensive network is a real strength. It means I have access to specialist advice from all product areas whether it be livestock, agronomy, or finance, which gives the edge when advising clients,” he said.
“Property is a significant investment and people gravitate towards an agent who can offer knowledge about the local area and work collaboratively with them to achieve the result they’re looking for in their business.”
Elders’ Managing Director and CEO, Mark Allison, speaks highly of Mr Rickard’s strong work ethic and willingness to evolve and learn in order to better service his clients.
“Rob is a consistently high performing agent who demonstrates the value of investing time and energy into improving his own practical skills and product knowledge.”
“By ensuring he has a comprehensive understanding of his clients, his community and changes within the market, he creates confidence within his clients and is able to deliver exceptional results,” Mr Allison said.
Mr Rickard admits that the real estate industry has changed considerably since starting back in the early 1990’s but that clients remain the central focus.
“Technology is changing so quickly opening up new avenues and opportunities to communicate with our clients and sell products,” said Mr Rickard.
“At the end of the day though, real estate is a personal purchase and a major investment.”
“You can’t beat good old fashioned face to face contact and you can’t underestimate the power of building and maintaining strong, sustainable relationships.”
Mr Rickard was also recognised as an Elders Elite Agent, having satisfied the strict criteria required to qualify for Elite status within the Elders network. Other Victorian Elders Elite Agents recognised this year include:
