Enhance buyer experience with stylish storage tips from Justine Wilson

Your service to a buyer doesn’t need to stop when they sign on the dotted line to purchase your vendor’s property.

Why not offer them service and advice during the moving and unpacking stage and create a halo effect long after the ‘transaction’ finishes.

One way agents can do this is via recommending simple home styling solutions, especially when it comes to storate.

Vault Interiors Founder, Justine Wilson, is one of Sydney’s leading property stylists, and she says functional and stylish living spaces can be created with a few simple tips and tricks.

Justine says it’s important to maximise space in every room of the house.

Living room

“Just because it’s the living room doesn’t mean it has to be cluttered,” she says.

By incorporating smart storage solutions, like hidden compartments and decorative bins, you can maintain a clean and inviting space for relaxation,” she says.

Justine recommends using multifunctional furniture pieces, such as ottomans with hidden storage or coffee tables with built-in shelves, while decorative baskets and bins can store blankets, magazine or the the TV remote controls.

For buyers that love a nicknack, suggest floating shelves to display their favourite treasures, while keeping surfaces clear.

Bedroom

“In the bedroom, it’s crucial to maximise storage without sacrificing style or comfort,” Justine says.

“By investing in space-saving furniture and optimising closet space, you can create a serene and clutter-free environment conducive to restful sleep.”

Justine advises to opt for bed frames with built-in drawers for storing extra linen, clothing, or seasonal items and to maximise closet space with slimline hangers and stackable storage bins or organisers.

Also use under-bed storage containers for shoes, accessories, or out-of-season clothing.

Kitchen

“The kitchen is often the heart of the home, but it can quickly become cluttered without proper organisation,” Justine notes.

By implementing strategic storage solutions like vertical racks and pull-out organisers, you can streamline meal preparation and maintain a tidy and efficient workspace.”

Justine suggests using vertical storage solutions like hanging racks or hooks for pots, pans, and utensils, while installing pull-out pantry shelves or organisers can maximise space and visibility.

To store dry goods or pantry staples, Justine says clear containers and labelled jars are both practical and can look stylish.

Bathroom

“In the bathroom, every inch counts when it comes to storage,” Justine says.

“By making use of vertical space and incorporating clever organisers, you can create a functional and spa-like oasis where everything has its place.”

Justine says installing wall-mounted shelves or cabinets will maximise vertical storage space, while over-the-door organisers or baskets can help store toiletries, towels, and cleaning supplies.

Meanwhile, simple drawer dividers or organisers to keep smaller items like makeup and grooming products tidy.
