Fastest Growing Ray White Office goes Greater

Leading principal Avi Khan continues to expand his foothold across Queensland, buying two more Ray White offices in Brisbane.

Avi Khan Group (AKG) officially purchased Ray White Eight Mile Plains and Ray White Brookewater/Greater Springfield.

The acquisitions now mean Avi Khan Group operates five offices in total making it the fourth largest group in the Ray White network all in the space of just 4.5 years.

Avi Khan Group principal, Avi Khan said the growth the business has experienced in a short space of time has been incredibly exciting.

โ€œThis type of growth has never been done in Ray White and itโ€™s spreading our reach throughout Brisbaneโ€™s south and itโ€™s also making us the fourth largest Ray White in the network, which is unheard of in just four and half years,โ€ Mr Khan said.

Mr Khan said despite the rapid expansion, he is continuing to look for ways to continue to grow.

โ€œWeโ€™re not satisfied with where we are,โ€ he said.

โ€œWeโ€™ve now got 100 people in our group now but thatโ€™s not a weight on my shoulders, itโ€™s 100 peopleโ€™s ambitions that weโ€™re trying to fulfil.โ€

A key reason for their expansion has been a continual focus on hiring the very best people, Mr Khan said.

โ€œGrowth is what we focus on but we also focus on good people,โ€ he said.

โ€œOur synergies are between growth and people because we realise that you canโ€™t just grow without having good people.

โ€œWe have a moral compass that we align to and if people also align to that compass then we do business with them.โ€

Mr Khan said heโ€™s been taking a different approach to the business of real estate and believes it’s one that is paying off.

โ€œSo much of the industry is so combative so we wanted to go the other way and focus on the people out there that are getting along with other people and realise that real estate is someone else’s journey and we just play a small part in that,โ€ he said.

โ€œWe want to align with people who have our moral compass and these two mergers and acquisition are perfectly suited to us becuase we bring on great people to our business.โ€

Looking forward, Mr Khan said there are no plans to slow down.

โ€œWe say we donโ€™t have a finish line in our business and we always trying to redefine it,โ€ he said.

โ€œThere are other agencies weโ€™re negotiating with and there are other agents that are coming on board and weโ€™re very excited for the growth in the future.

โ€œWe want to do things our own way and change the industry for the better.

โ€œThe reason for our growth is that weโ€™ve been doing real estate in a way that resonates with people in the industry which is why we were able to sell 800 properties last year in just our fourth year of operation.โ€
