Ray White TRG founder Gavin Rubinstein is on top of his game and yet he feels like he is just getting started.
In his first year of business ownership, Mr Rubinstein cemented his place as the number one Selling Principal in NSW & ACT based on commission for the Ray White Group.
He was also awarded the Number One Principal Award Internationally, across all of Australia and New Zealand – 2020 being the first time he was eligible in this category as he became an owner only 12 months ago.
He had previously won the number one salesperson award for seven years in a row.
His one year-old office, Ray White TRG, which operates in the affluent eastern suburbs of Sydney, also ranked number six in the office rankings across the premium markets across 34 Ray White offices. It’s an unprecedented ranking for an office only one year old.
“More than anything, I am proud of the growth of TRG and how my colleagues and I have adapted in such an unusual time and prevailed against many factors that usually would have an outcome of the opposite,” Mr Rubinstein said.
“We started with five employees a year ago, now we have 16, and this is only the start,.
“The people who work in this outfit are inspiring. This is a high-performance culture and I love watching the people who work here make an imprint on the market and seeing them build a reputation in their own right as top sales people.
“We strive to be a cut above our competitors. To offer more value to the client and progress on all fronts is what Ray White TRG is being built on.
“Oliver Lavers wrote over $1 million in commission in the last year, this being his first year out as a stand alone agent and has successfully built a team of three.
“Cae Thomas, Evan Williams and Patrick Cosgrove are hitting huge milestones, and my energy feeds from watching their trajectory.
“In addition to this, seeing them develop makes me excited and motivated to find more like minded people to help them build a career in this business.
“Together, we have created a culture within the Ray White brand that is vibrant and highly driven in our approach,” he said.
Ray White Group Managing Director Dan White said he was proud of the leader that Gavin Rubinstein had become.
“The transition to business ownership can sometimes see a dip in productivity as the business gets going. But not with TRG. They have found new gears and hit new heights,” he said.
Mr Rubinstein said the Top Principal award was “the sweetest of them all”.
“It’s sweeter than the seven number ones as a salesperson I would say, just given the circumstances. What will be sweeter is when one of my agents from TRG secures the number one salesperson award and eventually when TRG competes for the top office spot across NSW.
“That will be the ultimate – but we have a lot of work to do to achieve this with some fantastic offices currently in these rankings. I look forward to that challenge and the lessons ahead.”
Ray White NSW CEO Jason Andrew said Mr Rubinstein has had a huge year.
“Renovations, recruitment and big sales against a challenging backdrop, and now to finish as one of our top businesses and as the top principal is truly remarkable,” Mr Andrew said.
“We have all faced headwinds this year but Gavin started his new business while first being housed in someone else’s business while he was renovating his premises. So to have achieved what he has is truly remarkable and a credit to who he is as a leader.”
