Harcourts Expands with Key Sunshine Coast Location

The new Harcourts Caloundra will be led by dynamic husband and wife duo Luke and Katherine Carter.

Harcourts Group Australia continues its expansion in Southeast Queensland by selecting Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast as its newest office location. The Harcourts Caloundra team will be led by dynamic husband and wife duo Luke and Katherine Carter.

Brendan Whipps, Harcourts Queensland CEO, said “The expansion of their business was a natural progression to a more diverse global brand with a Queensland support team that was better aligned to their growth ambitions. They were also attracted to Harcourts due to the leadership and connection offered by other Harcourts business owners and what could be learnt to further support their team.”

Ms Carter said that in particular two of the brand’s four values – ‘People First’ and ‘Fun & Laughter’ – summarised their office philosophy, “The people we have working with us and the fact that we get to play an important role in their ongoing success is the primary reason of why we love working in real estate.”

Noting that growing a successful business such as theirs takes “a lot of long hours, hard work and compassion”, but went on to say that Caloundra is a location that offers the ideal lifestyle.

“We are extremely blessed to live and work in such a beautiful location,” said Ms Carter. “Our agency is situated 100m from the beach front and our town has a friendly community feel with an amazing climate all year round. We love the beach and surf culture and the emphasis on healthy outdoor living that is promoted within our region.”

Caloundra, 90km north of Brisbane’s CBD, is the gateway to the Sunshine Coast and renowned for its beautiful beaches, lush hinterland and affordable living.

“We have a great variety of real estate and Caloundra is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia with some of the country’s largest infrastructure projects currently underway adding to what is already a billion-dollar residential property market.”

The Sunshine Coast’s major new development projects include the Sunshine Coast University Hospital precinct, the Maroochydore CBD, as well as the proposed expansion of the Sunshine Coast airport. One of Australia’s largest residential real estate projects – the $5 billion Aura community development in Caloundra South – will see 20,000 new homes over the next 30 years with an estimated population of 50,000.

Marcus Williams, Harcourts Group Australia CEO, says that the opening of Harcourts Caloundra is the beginning of a big partnership.

“Luke and Katherine Carter are well known on the Sunshine Coast for their integrity and client-centric approach to business with a team of superb individuals. We are thrilled to have two professionals of their calibre leading the office, and we are looking forward to seeing their business continue to thrive and succeed.”
