Harcourts New Zealand have won the top prize in six categories at this year’s 2018 Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) awards.
These include Harcourts Cooper & Co picking up three awards. On winning the Medium Agency of the Year and Community Service Award – Office, Managing Director of Harcourts Cooper & Co Martin Cooper said, “The North Shore is a great place to live and to work, and as the Managing Director of this business it is great to be able to direct funds back into the community.
“One of the most uplifting parts of my business is to be able to support the community in which we live, love and make our living.”
Sue Ataie of Harcourts Cooper & Co Auckland was named as Residential Property Manager of the Year. Mr Cooper said he is “very excited” to have aspirational team members in his property management team and, “seeing how passionate and focused they are to succeed in their careers is just marvellous. Sue strives for excellence every day and it is great to see the benefit of her hard work to our customers.”
Ms Ataie said she was humbled and honoured to receive the award, and credits her team and husband with the achievement.
Medium Office of the Year for Residential Property Management was awarded to Harcourts Charlton Realty Auckland. Business Director Charlotte Marshall said, “Joanne Rae has been in property management for 30 years and is the driving force behind the property management side of our business. Joanne was overwhelmed to win the award, and personally I am elated for her.”
Harcourts Holmwood Property Management Christchurch took the title for Residential Property Management – Small Office of the Year. Tony Jenkins, CEO Harcourts Holmwood, said he is “delighted with the hard work his team has put in throughout the year and thrilled to see the team at Merivale recognised this way.”
Caroline Register, GM Holmwood Property Management Group, added, “the team have done a fantastic job and I am so pleased that their hard work and dedication has shone through to see them scoop this award.”
Personal Assistant of the Year was awarded to Chelsea Bol of Harcourts Talk Property Taupo. Ms Bol, who said, “I felt overwhelmed, but very grateful and humbled” to receive the award, added that she would “love” to thank Mary-Louise Johns, whom she is PA to. They have worked together for seven years “and in a way that is like a happy marriage”.
Chris Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer, Harcourts New Zealand said, “I am extremely proud of everyone from Harcourts who has won an award this year. A lot of hard work is done by our people right across New Zealand and so to have some of them recognised in this way, on the national stage, is wonderful. Harcourts also had runners-up in many categories, proving that we are totally focused on putting people first in everything we do.”
