Real estate portal homely.com.au has appointed well-known industry figure and auctioneer David Holmes as their Queensland State Manager.
This announcement comes off the back of Homely rolling out their Agent Participation Program in Queensland and nationwide.
With more than 400 agents already involved, the list of Homely partners features many industry heavyweights in the Queensland market including Dane Atherton (Harcourts Coastal), Patrick McKinnon and Drew Davies (Place Ascot), and Daniel Lee (Plum Property Group).
Homely’s National Sales Manager, Rory Cook, said the group was excited to have David ‘Holmesy’ Holmes step into the role.
“He brings many years of success in his auction business, Metro Auctions, and his time as LJ Hooker’s National Chief Auctioneer has seen him establish strong relationships with agents and principals across Queensland and Australia,” Mr Cook said.
“David lives and breathes real estate! He’s been a leading auctioneer for over 10 years now and has been recognised multiple times as one of the REIQ’s top auctioneers.
“He’s called auctions in different markets across Australia, including Queensland, New South Wales and the ACT, which has given him valuable insights into the opportunities available in the vast Queensland real estate market,” Mr Cook said.
Along with the appointment of Mr Holmes as the Queensland State Manager, Homely has grown their team up north with two new Senior Partnership Managers joining the Queensland Sales Team in 2020.
Erin Hosier joined Homely following eight years at REA Group, and Aaron Moseley came on board after three years at Domain, both working as Account and Partnership Managers with customers in South East Queensland.
“Erin and Aaron have over 10 years property portal experience combined, and their immense knowledge of the digital landscape has helped them sign some of Queensland’s largest agencies as partners to Homely’s Agent Participation Program,” Mr Cook said.
Homely will continue to expand and recruit top sales performers across the country as they ramp up promotion of their Agent Participation Program, which is now open to agents and agencies across the country.
Mr Holmes expressed his excitement for joining the team.
“I am delighted to take on this challenge to lead the Queensland Sales Team and help make the agent Participation Program a major success in Queensland,” he said.
“The demand for Homely to expand their partnership reach within the real estate industry is at an all-time high.”
“The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has woken many in the industry to the importance of low-cost advertising alternatives. I’m excited to work alongside Homely’s Co-CEOs Jason and Adam Spencer, Rory, Aaron and Erin to make our mark as the industry-friendly partner.”
