Through my work as mentor, I have discovered the formula and the key ingredients for success that are vital for transforming your business, building your brand and securing new listings in 2024.
This biggest and most important is consistency.
Consistency is paramount.
Have you ever heard the saying, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”?
Not in real estate.
In real estate, doing the same thing over and over again is not stupidity; it’s the foundation of elite agents.
Here are my top three tips for creating more consistency in your business:
1. Daily targets: Rather than setting weekly targets, focus on setting daily goals to maintain consistent effort and progress.
2. Time blocking: Schedule non-negotiable timeslots in your diary for prospecting and other essential tasks to ensure consistent productivity.
3. Balance: To maintain consistency, it’s crucial to enjoy time off. Plan your holidays in advance to create something to look forward to and recharge.
The human touch in tech
While technology should enhance efficiency, it should not diminish the personal touch.
Embrace technological tools that complement your interpersonal approach, ensuring that the human element remains at the forefront of your business.
Real estate has nothing to do with property, it’s all about people. Don’t let the obsession with tech, destroy your brand.
Get an accountability partner
Real estate is all about continuous progression. I recall a client who recently achieved his goals, turning a single listing into more than $1 million in sales.
He was incredibly busy, making remarkable strides toward success.
It was at this point that I felt it might be best to reduce our check-in sessions. He had mastered everything we had worked on.
As I sat across from him, I expressed my elation at his growth and suggested minimising our sessions.
He looked me straight in the eye and asked, “Are you saying you don’t have time for me anymore?”
I assured him that wasn’t the case and suggested I really felt he didn’t needed me as much.
His response was profound: “Immy, you are my accountability. I can’t show up knowing things haven’t been done”.
It was in that moment that I realised I was his accountability partner.
Everything we had been doing together was helping him remain accountable.
I urge you to find an accountability partner, as great agents are often surrounded by great people.
They help you stay on track, focused, and ultimately accountable for your actions and goals.
Getting up in the morning and going to the gym is tough work, you make the decision if you’re going to go if you’re alone.
If you have someone you’ve promised to meet, it’s a lot harder to cancel.
Real estate is all about consistency, doing what you say and focusing on the people you’re helping.
That’s how you will grow in 2024, it’s truly the ingredients for success
