Jennifer Aniston’s former home is for sale

The Los Angeles residence where Jennifer Aniston lived during her time on the hit sitcom Friends is up for sale.

The estate, located in Laurel Canyon, was built in 1936 and has been home to several renowned Hollywood personalities.

Actor-producer Beach Dickerson was one long-term occupant, and later, the property was owned by author and celebrity matchmaker Scotty Bowers until his death in 2019, according to the Robb Report.

The estate was then passed on to Corbin Bernsen, Dickerson’s godson, and his wife Amanda Pays, who undertook extensive renovations.

The property, known as “The Crown Jewel,” offers a panoramic view of the city and includes multiple structures.

It features a main house with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, an A-frame guest cottage, a pool house, and a hillside bungalow.

The bungalow has been affectionately named “El Nido de Nestor” after its former tenant, Oscar-winning Spanish cinematographer Nestor Almendros.

Wendy Moore, an agent at Compass, said in a press statement: “The property stands out for its unassuming charm. While it’s called the Crown Jewel of Laurel Canyon, it retains the relaxed atmosphere that attracts buyers to this area. It’s a unique find.”

Inside, the main house includes a design-rich interior with walls of glass in the living/dining room and a modernised kitchen featuring black-and-white checkerboard flooring.

Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool and spa encircled by brick and concrete terracing. The pool house appears to also function as a gym, based on available photographs.

The “El Nido de Nestor” bungalow is configured as an office or studio. Additionally, the A-frame guest cottage comes with its own kitchenette and a loft bedroom.

According to property records, the estate last sold for $2 million in 2020. The current asking price stands just below $2.6 million.
