Fresh from offloading their home in the Hollywood Hills, House of Cards actress Kate Mara and her husband Jamie Bell have picked up a new property in the leafy foothills of Los Feliz.
According to The Dirt, Mara and Bell paid US$4.8 million for the four-bedroom, four-bathroom abode that was sold by non-other than legendary New Zealand singer-songwriter Neil Finn.
Finn and his wife Sharon originally spent US$4.3 million in March 2020 on the 1920s Southern Colonial-style estate that was also previously owned by Katherine Heigl.
The property is set behind large gates on a quarter-acre block and includes over 340sq m of living space.
Spanning two levels, the house boasts high ceilings, rustic hardwood floors, large windows and French doors throughout as well as a renovated guesthouse with a wood-beam ceiling and designer bathroom.
The main level encompasses the living room with a wood-burning fireplace, along with a family room with a hidden TV cabinet, a wall of bookshelves and access to a large deck.
There’s also a formal dining room and butler’s pantry alongside a gourmet kitchen with an eat-in island, high-end stainless appliances and a breakfast nook.
The upper level is connected by a traditional staircase and leads to a large master retreat with a fireplace and walk-in closet.
There’s also a luxury bathroom that offers dual vanities, a spa tub and a separate shower.
Outdoors, there’s plenty of green grass and large trees as well as a pool and spa.
