Katrina Garwood and Ian McCallum join The Agency in Tasmania

The Agency is expanding in Tasmania, with the highly successful team of Katrina Garwood and Ian McCallum joining the national real estate brand.

The partners, who operate in Launceston and have more than 40 years combined experience in the industry, said the move will give a boost to both their clients and their business.

Ms Garwood said working with The Agency will bring new opportunities they didn’t have access to before.

“For us, it’s mostly about our clients and being able to offer them a lot more, being a national company,” Ms Garwood said.

“Just the connection between states was important and their professionalism and training will help keep us above our competition.”

Ian McCallum said the support The Agency offers will also allow them to build a bigger team around Ms Garwood.

“Currently it’s just Katrina and myself and the goal is to build up a team over the next 12 months,” Mr McCallum said.

“That will allow her to do what she does best and list and sell with clients.

“That’s what she’s best at.

“It’s also going to help take a lot of the admin work away from her as well.”

Mr McCallum said the support and training The Agency provides is also something they are looking to take advantage of.

“The assistance and support is mind-blowing,” he said.

He said he was also looking forward to working directly with The Agency CEOs Matt Lahood and Geoff Lucas, as well as top real estate coach, Claudio Encina.

Ms Garwood said it will help free up a lot of time so they can do more for their clients.

“Knowing that the backend is going to be looked after is going to help give us an edge,” she said.

The Agency General Manager of Sales – Tasmania, Sally O’Connell said Ms Garwood and Mr McCallum are a dynamic team who are well known in the Launceston market.

“Their vision of where they want to take their career and how they want to live their lives is clear and heavily aligns with The Agency’s core values and brand,” Ms O’Connell said.
