Knight Frank makes four new appointments to its Canberra office

The appointments include a new managing director.

The Announcement:

Knight Frank’s Canberra office will expand following four recent appointments, including a new Managing Director.

Nathan Dunn will head up the office, and has more than 12 years’ experience in commercial property in both sales and leasing.

The three other team members joining Knight Frank’s Canberra office include:

  • Melanie Rusk-Dunn, who will be in the role of Manager, Client Engagement and Campaign
    Coordinator
  • Paul Douglas-MacDonald, who will be in the role of Senior Sales and Leasing Executive
  • Lucas Brinkmeyer, who will be in the role of Sales and Leasing Executive

Knight Frank Managing Director NSW & ACT Paul Roberts said Mr Dunn would take over the role
of Managing Director of Knight Frank’s ACT office at the start of August and would be active in both the
sales and leasing space.

“We are very excited to welcome Nathan, Melanie, Paul and Lucas to the team,” he said.

“These appointments will mark a significant change for our Canberra office, putting the team in a strong
position to start the new financial year.

“Nathan is a recognised and well-respected identity in the ACT commercial property industry, and has
fantastic experience, including establishing a successful Belle Property Commercial franchise in
Canberra and transacting in every asset class, including industrial, retail and office.”

“The team will bring another dynamic to our current business and bolster our agency operations within
Canberra.

“Our current highly experienced and driven team, including Nicola Cooper and Kellie O’Connor, will be
complemented by the unique and high energy approach of Nathan, Lucas and Paul.

“The expanded team in our Canberra office led by Nathan will enable Knight Frank to deliver the very
best service for our clients.”

Mr Dunn said: “We are all incredibly excited to join Knight Frank; a brand with such heritage and reach.

“Canberra represents a unique commercial real estate market, one that often ebbs and flows to the pace
of the Federal Government.

“Knight Frank’s Australian – and global – expertise will allow our team to ‘flex our muscles’ to a broader
range of both private and public entities.

“Knight Frank has an exceptional track record and I am very excited for our energetic, enthusiastic and
hardworking sales and leasing operatives to join the existing hugely passionate, proud and experienced
local team in Canberra.

“We intend to accelerate growth to provide a strong offering in the ACT market, with many business
lines that can offer huge value to the existing stable of clientele.

“We will provide an alternative to landlords and vendors looking for a fresh approach and a team bursting with energy.”

Mr Dunn said the Canberra commercial property market was buoyant with low premium grade office
vacancy rates, an undersupply of industrial stock and strong retail uptake.

“Each of our new additions will bring something different to the team,” he said.

“Melanie has a deep understanding of marketing mediums, and single handedly built our previous brand
from scratch, not to mention delivering campaign after campaign to the largest audience possible.

“Paul is a breath of fresh air in the industry, diligently working the process and understanding that clients
want reliability and ultimately, results.

“Lucas, coming from a generational family of land developers, already understands the idiosyncrasies
of the Canberra property market, as well as having a wealth of contacts.

“I am so excited for Knight Frank Canberra to undertake a new chapter, and the merger heralds a new
direction for this amazing brand.”
