The LJ Hooker Foundation has donated almost $45,000 to its charity partner, Humpty Dumpty Foundation, following the real estate network’s recent national awards nights and conference.
A series of live auctions, with items donated by the likes of Audi, realestate.com.au and Inhouse Style, saw LJ Hooker business owners, agents and property managers raise their hands for the good cause.
LJ Hooker Foundation spokeswoman Sarah Dickson said the funds raised exceeded expectations, but it was a sign of the network’s deep commitment to the communities in which they live, work and play.
“All funds raised from the auctions go directly to Humpty Dumpty Foundation and, where possible, we were able to donate much needed medical equipment to hospitals near the winning offices,” she said.
The items, chosen off Humpty’s Wish List, include:
- Rad5 Pulse Oximeter; Halls Creek Hospital WA
- Ez-IO Drill; Bridgetown Hospital WA
- Jaundice Detector; Port Pirie Hospital SA
- 4 x Syringe Drivers; Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick NSW
- Glideslope Go Portable Monitor; Box Hill Hospital VIC
- Jaundice Detector; Macksville Hospital NSW
Founder and Executive Chairman of Humpty Dumpty Foundation Paul Francis, OAM said they are proud to have been associated with the LJ Hooker Foundation.
“It has been a wonderful partnership with LJ Hooker offices able to fundraise and support their local hospitals, further strengthening ties to the communities they work in,” he said.
“While supporting a national objective to ensure that it shouldn’t matter where you are born, you should have the same access to quality medical equipment and the best possible care our wonderful doctors and nurses can provide.”
Mr Francis said in the past year alone, LJ Hooker provided 44 pieces of vital, often life-saving medical equipment to hospitals right across the country.
“Humpty looks forward to continuing our work with kids in hospital across Australia – together with the support of LJ Hooker, we can make a huge difference.”
The auctions take the total donated by the LJ Hooker Foundation in the last 12 months to $250,000.
