Luke Kenyon joins Homely’s Executive Team as Head of Product

One of the nationโ€™s leading industry-backed real estate portals has appointed a new Head of Product, with Homely.com announcing Luke Kenyon has joined its Executive Team to take on the newly created role.

As Homelyโ€™s Head of Product, Mr Kenyon will create and manage Homelyโ€™s product strategy and roadmap to increase consumer audience, engagement, retention, data integrity and revenue.

Mr Kenyon has extensive experience in high-growth companies in Australia and Europe, including Sportsbet, RACV, and REA Group.

He spent three-and-a-half years at REA and was pivotal in growing their engaged consumer audience using innovative products and data strategies.

Welcoming Mr Kenyon to the role, Homelyโ€™s Co-Founder Adam Spencer said the portal had a suite of exciting products and developments in the pipeline for 2021, which had facilitated the need for the new position.

โ€œThe appointment will allow for a dedicated expert to live and breathe Homelyโ€™s product every day in order to make the rapid advancements weโ€™re after,โ€ Mr Spencer said.

โ€œWe are thrilled to have someone of Lukeโ€™s calibre, skills and experience in the real estate industry on board.

โ€œHaving a proven track record of impressive results in mobile consumer growth, weโ€™re confident Lukeโ€™s expertise will strengthen our leadership team and considerably propel Homelyโ€™s mission to provide an alternative real estate portal to all Australians.

โ€œLukeโ€™s comprehensive product roadmap will put Homely on track for a phenomenal year in terms of product releases, as well as audience and revenue growth.โ€

Mr Spencer said since starting at Homely recently, Mr Kenyon had already made significant improvements to Homelyโ€™s product development processes, having helped to streamline the Development Teamโ€™s resources and workflow.

Mr Kenyon said he was equally excited to be joining the team, saying he had been monitoring the companyโ€™s progress over the past few years.

โ€œIt was an absolute no-brainer to join Homely,โ€ he said. โ€œI have spent the first few months gaining an understanding of customer and consumer pain points.

โ€œThis understanding has enabled me to establish a detailed product vision, strategy and roadmap to help Homely achieve its strategic objectives of increasing engagement, audience and revenue.

โ€œIโ€™m truly excited to help Homely work towards its vision of becoming a major competitor in the Australian property portal space by making a difference to how consumerโ€™s experience property in Australia whilst at the same time providing maximum value to our agents.โ€

Mr Kenyon said his background working with renowned companies in the tech market had prepared him well for the role.

โ€œI bring strong development and best practices when building and rolling out high growth and innovative products,โ€ he said.

โ€œThe team has been amazing to adapt so quickly to ensure we as a team are always working on the most impactful feature to realise the Homely product strategy and vision.

โ€œWorking for Homely under Adam and (Co-CEO) Jason (Spencer) has been a real privilege with their long history in the market, and Iโ€™m so glad to join the newly formed Leadership Team thatโ€™ll take Homely to the next chapter.โ€

Adam Spencer said Mr Kenyonโ€™s skills would be instrumental in the rollout of Homelyโ€™s new products, and he looked forward to his input in areas including long-term planning and the evolution of the companyโ€™s product offering.  โ€œ

โ€œI look forward to working alongside Luke to ensure we deliver a better, seamless and valuable property search experience to our customers,โ€ he said.
