Mark Kentwell opens new “statement” office

Award-winning real estate agent Mark Kentwell has announced the opening of PRD Presence office in Toronto, on the waterfront of Lake Macquarie.

This follows the massive success of his collection of offices that started in Newcastle in 2005.

It is the fifth office heโ€™s opened across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Central Coast.

โ€œThat location had been an interest for some time, but we wanted to ensure we had a strong lead agent to open the office,โ€ Mr Kentwell said.

โ€œJoshua Logan-Pye is the perfect agent for the role, who is licensee and co-principal. He has a track record of selling up-market homes, particularly within that precinct.

โ€œHeโ€™s also an accredited auctioneer with Cooley Auctions, trained under Damien Cooley himself, Australiaโ€™s most booked auctioneer for many years running.

“Josh is a perfect match for our brand because he uses a great combination of a new age consumer focus, unique marketing techniques, auction skills and great work ethic.โ€

The Western Lake Macquarie workspace isnโ€™t your typical real estate office.

Located on the ground floor in a brand new development on the waterfront, the office is near a childrenโ€™s playground, walking track, coffee shops and ice cream bars.โ€

Theyโ€™ve also got a coffee shop onsite, which operates as a stand alone cafรฉ, as well as a welcoming meeting space for agents and their clients.

โ€œItโ€™s constantly full of people, and itโ€™s a great way for us to engage with the community without being all over them, and making them feel uncomfortable,โ€ Mr Kentwell said.

Like all their new age offices, there is no brand signage outside, itโ€™s only when you enter reception that you realise youโ€™re in a real estate office. Not that it looks like one.

Adorned with stunning street art throughout, by renowned artist Jordan Lucky, the office is a place agents can be proud to work, with modern dรฉcor, an open foyer, stand-up meeting spots, a silent room and a kitchen reminiscent of something youโ€™d find in a modern home.

โ€œWe donโ€™t need to plaster it with branding and window cards. We want agents to feel proud of the space, to feel energised and vibrant,โ€ Mr Kentwell said.

โ€œItโ€™s a big investment in our people. They are proud, they canโ€™t wait to show clients.

โ€œIn turn, our clients can see weโ€™re creative, energised, unique & authentic.โ€

As well as supporting the community, the coffee shop also acts as a drawcard for clients to come to the office.

โ€œWe can have quick face-to-face catch ups on site, rather than going to the clientโ€™s house. They actually want to come and see us,โ€ Mr Kentwell said.

โ€œThe office represents who we are. Weโ€™re innovative, we donโ€™t dress the same as most other real estate agents and donโ€™t act the same as what people often imagine when they think of agents.

โ€œThis office is proof that itโ€™s not just a faรงade. We walk the walk, we donโ€™t just talk the talk.”

Despite its relatively small size, the office has room for up to 16 team members to work simultaneously.

“Thereโ€™s also dedicated in-house auction facilities, where we can run our regular program of Friendly Auctionsยฎ,” Mr Kentwell said.

โ€œThis is the essence of why we believe this is the office of the future.โ€
