Mark Shorrock has joined the RE/MAX Profile Real Estate team in Brisbane’s western suburbs to ‘live, work and sell locally in 4070’, the postcode for Bellbowrie, Moggill and Anstead.
He has lived in Bellbowrie for more than a decade, has worked in the local real estate market for more than six years, and the fully qualified chef owned and operated the Jaffa Box Café in Bellbowrie for three and a half years.
Mark’s real estate experience covers sales, business development, property management and property development. He has collected numerous awards through his career.
“Joining the Bardon-based office means I can commit more to my own family and helping the local community.
“The support and reputation that stands behind the RE/MAX name is immense and the RE/MAX culture is a perfect fit with its family focus, yet promoting the individual and encouraging entrepreneurship.
“RE/MAX Profile is one of RE/MAX Australia’s top offices and Christina Penrose holds the network’s highest accolade, the Eagle Award, so again a perfect fit for location and performance,” said Mark.
The Shorrock name is well-known and respected in the real estate industry with Mark’s parents having owned and operated real estate franchises on the Gold Coast over a 37-year period until their semi-retirement two years ago.
“Their office in Palm Beach had a special place in LJ Hooker’s history,” explained Mark,” as it was that network’s first Queensland office and the first interstate office for LJ Hooker Limited, opening in 1957 two years before the Gold Coast was proclaimed a city.’
“My parents, Neil and Robyn Shorrock, bought the real estate business from Ron Theobold for $5000 in 1981.”
“I’ve literally grown up immersed in the real estate industry and I love it… from working with my real estate clients, to the challenges of marketing and negotiation, to achieving the brilliant outcomes, and to forging long-term relationships both within the industry and with my clients.
“I genuinely have a passion for helping people buy and sell property.
“I’ve also done my fair share of public speaking and plan to offer my services to the local community to help MC fundraising events and conduct charity auctions.
“I am the agent who knows the local market inside-out; is trustworthy, responsive and tirelessly dedicated; and, with my family, is committed to the community. My mother-in-law has locally operated her own business, Shoe Fashion, for 20 years. Like the saying goes: If the shoe fits…”
