Matt Bellamy, the Muse frontman, has decided to sell his contemporary Malibu property located in the upscale Point Dume district, after a seven-year period of ownership.
Listed for just under $6 million, Bellamy originally acquired the property for $2.6 million, according to Dirt.com.
Bellamy, the 45-year-old British rock star, songwriter, and producer, who is married to model Elle Evans, retains ownership of another 1950s home in the same area.
He also owns a Sierra Towers condo and a primary residence in Brentwood.
The property on offer, constructed in the late 1980s, was recently updated and provides about 335sq m of multi-level living space.
It boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, hardwood and tile floors, skylights, and high wooden-beam ceilings.
A self-contained guest suite offers one bedroom, one bathroom, its own kitchen, living area, and entrance.
Occupying a flat half-acre plot (about 0.2ha), the white stucco and shingle-roofed home is situated behind a gated driveway that leads to an attached three-car garage with entrances at both front and rear.
The double-height entry foyer leads to a media/living room with built-in shelving and a spacious kitchen equipped with an eat-in island and an adjacent breakfast nook.
The neighbouring family room has doors opening onto a private backyard featuring an expansive patio, raised vegetable gardens, a children’s playset, storage shed, and grassy lawn with ample space for a swimming pool.
On the upper level, an ocean-view master suite flaunts a wood-burning brick fireplace and dual walk-in closets, as well as a bathroom with dual vanities, a built-in soaking tub, and a separate shower.
