Well-known local agent Matt O’Grady has recently taken the reins at Ray White Nambour on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Mr O’Grady, who has worked in real estate sales from Noosa to Caloundra over the past 10 years, believed taking ownership of his own office was the obvious next step in his career.
Mr O’Grady has bought the business from the previous owner Michael Stack, who also owns the nearby Sippy Downs office, which is where he’d worked for the past seven years.
Mr Stack said he was delighted to see Mr O’Grady move into ownership and wished him all the best in Nambour.
“It’s a great community in Nambour and I know he’ll serve the community well,” Mr Stack said.
Mr O’Grady said he had always had an ambition to own his own business.
“So when the opportunity arose I knew it was the right time to take it. Having lived on the Sunshine Coast for most of my life, I have a great depth of knowledge on not only the area but the lifestyle and the people.”
Nambour is known as the gateway to the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland, so for Mr O’Grady who specialises in acreage and lifestyle properties, the location is ideal.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to focus on what I love,” Mr O’Grady said.
Ray White Queensland CEO Tony Warland congratulated Mr O’Grady on taking the next step into business ownership.
“Matt is a well-known and respected member of his community. This step into business ownership is an exciting time and we look forward to supporting him as he continues to grow,” Mr Warland said.
Over the next 12 months the main focus for Mr O’Grady will be growing the sales side of his business, while continuing to serve the community with the best possible customer service.
“It’s so important for my team to nurture the strong relationships we have built with the community. We’re all about providing a traditional service, and we have the technology and support to really go that extra mile,” Mr O’Grady said.
“We still have strong family values within the team, so for me it’s all about being as involved with the community as possible.”
