NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo returns to his Greek roots

NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has expanded his horizons off the court by acquiring a pair of luxury vacation villas in his home country of Greece.

The Milwaukee Bucks forward, known for his prowess on the basketball court, will spend his summer at the prestigious Costa Navarino Residences in Messenia, located in the southwest Peloponnese.

The two-time MVP’s new properties are situated in Costa Navarino’s exclusive Rolling Greens community, one of three distinct residential neighborhoods within the development, according to the Robb Report.

The other two neighbourhoods are Sea Dunes and Olive Grove.

Giannis shared his excitement about the acquisition,.

“I came here to Costa Navarino for one reason—because I know I can bring my family,” the NBA player said.

“When I first came here in 2018, I liked that we could all be together.

“This is a place that can offer me what I felt as a child.’’

Designed by the renowned Greek architecture firm Buerger Katsota, each of Antetokounmpo’s semi-detached, turnkey homes offer three bedrooms and are spread over a single storey.

The villas feature a large swimming pool, panoramic views of the Ionian Sea, and ample private outdoor spaces, including a courtyard with a barbecue area, ideal for family gatherings and relaxation.

The Rolling Greens community offers direct access to The Dunes golf course, one of four signature 18-hole courses at Costa Navarino.

The development has recently completed its first phase and introduced a new Villa rental collection.

This program allows guests to rent high-end homes, accommodating up to ten guests, and enjoy either beachfront or golf course views, along with all the property’s luxurious facilities.

Antetokounmpo, affectionately known as the ‘Greek Freak,’ also owns a mansion in Wisconsin.

Purchased in 2018 for US$1.8 million, the estate is located in the affluent River Hills suburb.

The property features five bedrooms and seven full bathrooms.

Interestingly, the mansion was previously owned by former Bucks player Mirza Teletovic and 2014 Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams.

Antetokounmpo’s latest real estate ventures in Greece reflect his desire to create cherished family memories while enjoying the luxurious and serene environment of Costa Navarino.
