Online broker powers sales high for Ellen Property

Ellen Revello has posted her best year in real estate sales after launching her own business, Ellen Property, with the support of international online real estate brokerage eXp Realty.

After 10 years as a sales agent on the NSW Central Coast, Ms Revello took a break from the industry and was considering her options when she was scouted by eXp.

Ellen Property powered by eXp launched in January 2020. The agency focuses on high-demand localities including Macmasters Beach, Kincumber, Avoca Beach, Killcare and Copacabana.

“I have never looked back and my only regret is that I couldn’t go into this with eXp years ago,” Ms Revello said.

She said she was thriving on the freedom and flexibility offered by the partnership with eXp.

“I was out of real estate and was thinking what my next move would be when I was contacted by eXp and I realised, ‘This is a fantastic opportunity’.

“With eXp everyone is so welcoming and helpful. We have been meeting each other through Zoom meetings but in September we got to meet at the Million Dollar Agent Summit in Brisbane and it was brilliant. We are collaborating, not competing.

“The support we get from eXp is amazing and I have never seen anything like the software we are using. It is a company that gives us all the support we need to go out and sell.”

Previously Ms Revello had a long career in entertainment, working with her children in their popular family band The Jitterbugs.

“I had 25 years of working with my children and it was such a beautiful thing to be able to do, travelling around the country.”

Now Ms Revello uses her entertainment experience when Ellen Property sponsors community  events.

And she still has the joy of working with family now that her husband Gabe has joined the Ellen Property team.

Mr Revello has 30 years of experience in Sydney real estate, where he ran a business creating multi-media presentations for the industry.

“We love the freedom that we have working for ourselves,” Ms Revello said.

“I don’t have to get up at 7am and go into an office.

“Gabe is a really good cook so he can prepare the meal while I keep working until 9pm or 10 pm. We can work from anywhere, and I can work at home here with our three dogs and a cat. They are very happy to have their mum at home too.”

The concept of a cloud-based brokerage was a radical concept when eXp launched in 2009.

The company has since expanded to support a network of more than 85,000 agents in countries around the world from North and South America to Europe, India, South Africa and Japan.

eXp offers an attractive commission split with agents receiving 75 per cent return on the first $100,000 of annual commissions and 100 per cent after reaching that level.

“In a traditional office, you are on 50 per cent of your commissions and by the time you pay tax it is more like 25 per cent,” Ms Revello said.

“I hit the $250,000 mark in commissions in the past year and hopefully we can do even better than that in our next.”

Her commitment to give each client a rewarding and trouble-free experience is at the heart of her professional success, Ms Revello said.

“I like to treat every sale as if it were my own home, we go above and beyond.”
