Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon are moving back to their native UK and have listed their main LA residence for US$18 million.
According to The Dirt, the famous couple have been driven out of California because of the state’s high tax rates.
“If they do the taxes better then I may come back,” Osbourne said.
The 73-year-old, who was known as “the prince of darkness” in Black Sabbath’s heyday, has called the Mediterranean villa-style manor home for a number of years, having purchased it in 2015 for US$12 million from Saw producer Oren Koules.
The luxury home was built in 1929 and boasts six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms (seven full baths, four powder rooms) in more than 1021sq m of living space. The home sits on just over half an acre.
The Osbournes extensively renovated the property with a combination of decadent and glam finishes and furnishings.
While the current listing doesn’t mention the designer, the Osbourne family have used celebrity stylist Martyn Lawrence Bullard for many years.
