There was a substantial drop in auction numbers this week due to the grand finals and the Labour Day long weekend.
853 properties were taken to auction last week, with a preliminary clearance rate of 77.5 percent, compared to the same time last year when there were 865 auctions were held, with a clearance rate of 68.2 per cent. In comparison, over the week before last, a total of 2,480 auctions were held with a clearance rate of 75.4 per cent.

- Sydney – 83.8% clearance, 519 total auctions, 437 results reported, 366 cleared, 71 uncleared
- Melbourne – 92.8% clearance, 111 total auctions, 69 results reported, 64 cleared, 5Â uncleared
- Brisbane – 47.9% clearance, 115 total auctions, 71 results reported, 34 cleared, 37 uncleared
- Adelaide – 74.2% clearance, 42 total auctions, 31 results reported, 23 cleared, 8Â uncleared
- Perth – 0.0% clearance, 11 total auctions, 2 results reported, 0 cleared, 2 uncleared
- Tasmania – 25% clearance, 5 total auctions, 4 results reported, 1 cleared, 3 uncleared
- Canberra – 72% clearance, 50 total auctions, 25 results reported, 18 cleared, 7 uncleared
