Hollywood star, Richard Gere has listed his 50-acre, upstate New York mansion for sale for an impressive US$28 million.
According to the Daily Mail, the 72-year-old actor, has been slowly building up the Pound Ridge compound over a 10-year period, and it now includes five separate residences.
The main mansion has eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two half-bathrooms, as well as nine fireplaces and several powder rooms.
The kitchen has been updated with state-of-the-art appliances and features a granite-topped island bench.Â
The official listing notes the mansion, which is located about 100km from New York City, is surrounded by 4300-acres of protected land and boasts a private lake with sandy beach and island to row out to, rolling hills for horseback riding, a hidden soccer field and mature plantings, including weeping willows, that reveal themselves throughout the seasons.Â

Gere and his third wife, Alejandra Silva, recently purchased a red-brick mansion in nearby North Salem, for US$9.8 million. The actor has also sold his Hamptons compound for US$33.75 million, well short of the US$65 million asking price.
