Raine & Horne back in Glenelg with experienced real estate team

After a short interlude, Raine & Horne is open again in Glenelg, one of South Australia’s strongest real estate markets.

Raine & Horne Glenelg will be led by highly experienced property professionals Graeme Sherwell and Christine Pinkus.

“Graeme and Christine, who have had many years of real estate experience, are the prefect recruits to our network. They will enable us to once again deliver Raine & Horne’s unique sales and property management services to Glenelg owners and investors,” said Michael McDonald, CEO, Raine & Horne South Australia.

Mr McDonald added, “We are famous for our commitment to customer care, and delivering the very latest technology and marketing advice and this is why Raine & Horne has become a household name in Glenelg and we are thrilled Graeme and Christine will be able to build on the history we have in this area.”

Mr Sherwell will lead the sales business at Raine & Horne Glenelg, with Ms Pinkus heading up property management.

“We have shifted to Raine & Horne from a competing real estate group because the 133-year-old firm takes property management very seriously,” said Mr Sherwell, who started his career in real estate in 1994 in sales in the Glenelg and Brighton area. Ms Pinkus started in real estate in 1990.

Glenelg’s location is its major appeal for owners, investors and tenants, according to Mr Sherwell.

“Glenelg is a fashionable suburb, which has become a popular tourist destination due to its beach and many other attractions, including a healthy hospitality and restaurant precinct,” he said.

“Apart from the beaches, the suburb is very close to the CBD, while it offers really good schools such as Brighton Secondary School, Sacred Heart College, Westminster School and Immanuel College, as well as a broad range of housing.

“It’s an inner ring suburb catering to first home buyers with 2-bedroom apartments starting from $250,000 up to million dollar beachfront properties.”

Given Glenelg’s broad range of property categories, there’s an even balance of owner occupiers and investors buying into the suburb.

“Rental yields in Glenelg range from 4-4.5%, which compares well against returns in the eastern states,” said Mr Sherwell.

“Most of the investors buying up in Glenelg are from Adelaide but with Sydney and Melbourne properties prices exploding, we’re expecting more investors from the eastern states in the next few years.”

Raine & Horne Glenelg is located at Unit 7, 601 Anzac Highway, Glenelg North and the sales and property management team can be contacted on 08 8358 2589.
