In a major changing of the guard, Raine & Horne Woodford was named Raine & Horne’s best office for business growth in Queensland in 2016.
The leading local real estate office is led by Principal Jill Garth, and the win is a huge result for the team at Raine & Horne Woodford, given the massive growth of the Raine & Horne brand in Queensland over the last 3 years.
“Since joining our network in 2014, Jill has cultivated a winning sales and property management team,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.
“At the same time, we have been the fastest growing network in Queensland and this growth has included the addition of Raine & Horne Woodford, and it’s for this reason I’m personally delighted with them winning this award.”
In 2016, Raine & Horne launched offices in Redcliffe and Banora Point, Kenmore, Goodna, Springfield, Ipswich, Mackay, Mackay Beaches, Moranbah, Mermaid Beach, Logan City, Greenbank, Murwillumbah, Cleveland Sales, Brisbane Central and a commercial office in Mackay.
Ms Garth attributes her award-winning success to never heading for a client appraisal meeting with a preconceived plan.
“I am certain that scripts and dialogues have their place, however, I prefer to connect with the vendors on a more personal level,” says Ms Garth, who has an advanced Diploma of Applied Science in Equine Management from the University of Melbourne and is fanatical about any subject related to horses.
“There can be so much emotion involved in the sale of a property, so 80% of the discussion at my appraisals is about the sellers, their pets, kids, grandkids and their plans for the future.
“If they mention horses, or it’s a horse property, I can be there for hours! We will touch briefly on the real estate side of things, however, it’s more important to me that property owners can trust me. I have made some wonderful, lifelong friends from previous vendors.”
The Woodford real estate market is enjoying a growth surge, which is is being driven by city slickers from Brisbane seeking to escape high density suburban living, according to Ms Garth.
“At least 70% of our buyers are from North Lakes, Narangba and the Redcliffe peninsula, and a 1,000 square metre property in Woodford, seems like acreage compared to where they are currently living,” she said.
Moreover, Woodford is less than an hour by car to the airport and 45 mins to the Sunshine Coast.
“It’s a wonderful location and buyers are snapping up property in the town and surrounding areas.”
