Ray White Ashgrove welcomes new franchise owner Adam Downes

Real estate coach Adam Downes has taken the reins at Ray White Ashgrove.

Mr Downes, who has worked for the family group for the past eight years, has coached hundreds of Ray White offices across Australia and New Zealand, from the very best to the newest rookies.

He’s well regarded at Ray White for driving performance across the network’s offices in Australia and New Zealand.

The experienced auctioneer from Brisbane’s leafy western suburbs was excited about the next step and owning his own franchise in the same area where he and his wife Rachael are raising their three children.

“I have coached and trained thousands of agents across Australia and New Zealand, and I have mentored many of our Elite and Chairman’s Elite agents,” Mr Downes said.

“I plan to keep expanding Ashgrove and welcome the chance to talk to new and experienced agents who are looking for structure and mentoring.

“I know the growth strategies, processes and structures for agents to grow their teams.”

Mr Downes became a real estate agent in 2007, after working in the Royal Australian Air Force.

Since then, he has become a highly regarded auctioneer and negotiator, and is a sought after presenter at Ray White events across the country.

Mr Downes also built Ray White’s Pulse platform, which offers real-time insights into every agent and business across Australia and New Zealand.

The platform has changed the way agents and principals manage and run their businesses.

“Pulse has been a game-changer and has supercharged the abilities and performance of our businesses and salespeople,” Mr Downes said.

“I am very proud of that legacy and looking forward to making the leap back into sales and leading my new team.”

Mr Downes was also responsible for Ray White’s ‘missed millions program’, which helped agents to leverage their databases.

“I can show agents and businesses how to maximise the value of their database and increase their income as a result,” Mr Downes said.

“I am so excited about building these practices into my own business.

“Property owners can take great confidence in the fact I know how to create the maximum competition for their home.

“This competition is what drives a premium price.

“There’s never been a better time to build a business, especially in Brisbane.”

Mr Downes also thanked outgoing principal Joe Denham, who had owned the business for nine years and was highly regarded in the family-friendly community.

Ray White Queensland Chief Executive Officer Jason Andrew said he was delighted to see Mr Downes take the natural step into business ownership.

“Adam has been a key leader in the business of Ray White itself for many years and we are thrilled to see him partner with us in the field,” he said.

“We thank Joe Denham for his years of service too.

“It is clear that Queensland is the place to be. The data has shown an uplift in pricing of 15 per cent during 2021, and we have no doubts that property will continue to climb off the back of this incredible news.

“There’s never been a better time to invest in Queensland.”

In Brisbane, the number of $1 million-plus suburbs has increased by a third in the past 12 months and the Olympics in 2032 are expected to super-charge investment in infrastructure in the host city, which will benefit homeowners.
