Ray White Commercial Canberra now has a 22 person team, with Eleni Notaras being the first female executive to join the business.
The Announcement:
One year on from the merger that created Ray White Commercial Canberra, Notaras Commercial has merged with Ray White Commercial Canberra and principal Eleni Notaras has joined the team as a part owner, taking on the role of director of property management.
Now a strong 22 person team, this merger is another step in Ray White Commercial Canberra’s continued growth throughout the last year.
Ms Notaras is not only the first female executive to join the business, but is one of only a few women in an executive role in a commercial real estate agency in Canberra.
She has worked in the residential and commercial property industry in Canberra for over 20 years and currently serves as an ACT Division Council Member of the Property Council of Australia, with strong roots in Canberra’s property market.
Her late father, founder of Notaras Property, Jim Notaras, contributed to both the residential and commercial markets in Canberra as an investor, developer and agent since the 1960s.
Ms Notaras had previously worked with the business in 2007 as a senior commercial property investment manager for over eight years before moving on to join her family business.
Ms Notaras said she was excited to join the Ray White Commercial Canberra team.
“I’m very excited about the future for the business and of course for myself both personally and professionally,” she said.
“Joining a great team and developing those person-to-person and business relationships with the clients is something I really look forward to.”
Ms Notaras said she looked forward to jumping in and continuing to be an advocate for the property industry.
“I’ve always been interested in letting people know how great the property industry is for career opportunities, and to mentor and train new people into the industry,” she said.Â
“I’ve been part of the Property Council of Australia’s National Mentoring Program which has been very rewarding and shown how diverse the job opportunities are.”
Ray White Commercial Canberra principal, Ben Faulks said the merger was seamless due to the teams’ alignment of values.
“Eleni comes from a 35-year-old family business that believes in honesty, integrity and the very best customer service, and the Ray White Group has shared those similar values for 120 years,” Mr Faulks said.Â
“All of our leaders at Ray White Commercial Canberra have an alliance in the way we see the world, and believe in a collaborative culture of teamwork.
“Eleni’s commitment to her clients and her work is evident in the reputation she has built within the industry and the broader Canberra community.Â
“We are excited to have her as a partner in the Ray White Commercial Canberra business moving forward.”
Ray White Commercial head of agency operations Andrew Freeman said it was a delight to have Ms Notaras as part of the network.
“Eleni’s wealth of knowledge and experience in Canberra’s commercial real estate industry make her an invaluable asset,” Mr Freeman said.
“Ray White Commercial Canberra continues to grow, and I’m excited to see Eleni add to the strength of the business in her role as business owner and director of property management.”
