One of Queensland’s best performing sales agent Julie Mahoney has today opened her own business in Townsville.
The real estate icon opened Ray White Julie Mahoney on the ground floor at 46 Oxley St, North Ward today.
She has been an agent in the north Queensland regional centre for the last 10 years and is deeply passionate about her clients, her city and her team.
Ms Mahoney was recently crowned as the top salesperson in the state, according to data by Pricefinder, at the independent A-List Awards.
The hallmark of Ms Mahoney’s success was “consistency from the moment I stepped on the field”.
“I am also blessed to work in a beautiful community and I have had such wonderful referrals and advocates. I just don’t stop and I give it my all. I have surrounded myself with some amazing people too which makes a huge difference,” she said.
“You simply cannot be a superhero without a great support team behind you and I have that. I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
“I am very passionate about regional Australia and it has been tough here. I have been working in a market that has been trending down since 2012 so I have to be the best of the best to move my clients forward. I will move at an exponential rate to get the deals done for my vendors.”
Ray White Queensland chief executive officer Tony Warland said Ms Mahoney was an exceptional real estate agent. “We are truly blessed to have someone of her calibre in the Ray White network and I look forward to supporting Julie’s ambitions,” he said.
Ms Mahoney lives locally with her husband Paul and is a mother of three children. She has a thorough understanding of the local market and the people who live there.
The Mahoneys will lead their new business together.
“Paul’s my rock and the centre of my universe but I want to be a good role model for my children so that’s why I am starting my own business up. My passion is still selling but the thought of growing a really amazing sales team is exciting,” she said.
“Ray White surrounds themselves with the best of the best, they invest in products and they invest in their network.
“I am very grounded and I am not an atypical agent. I am very black and white and I always represent the vendor, I am very passionate about keeping up with technology in our industry.
“I have always been mindful about being relevant.”
“I am so lucky as I genuinely love what I do. I fell into the real estate industry and I love working in it,” Ms Mahoney said, who has a science degree and was previously a commodity trader before moving into real estate.
