RE/MAX expands south east Queensland presence

RE/MAX Australia has announced further expansion with the opening this month of RE/MAX Property Professionals in Springfield, west of Brisbane.

Joining the global real estate network is Melina MacNellie-Verrall.

Mrs MacNellie-Verrall spent the past nine years working in the finance sector for a major bank in Brisbane.

The Spring Mountain resident, who grew up in Greenbank, returns to the real estate passion she’s had since leaving high school as part of a career that includes working in independent and big brand real estate offices through the Scenic Rim and the Gold Coast, including RE/MAX at Burleigh Heads.

Mrs MacNellie-Verrall chose to open her office in Greater Springfield because of the market opportunity she sees.

“I know this area very well as both a professional and a resident,” she said.

“As a long-standing member of the Greater Springfield community, I want my business to be an integral part of this community and we will be engaging and connecting with it in many ways.”

The team’s first initiative supports Westside Community Charity.

“We sponsor a Monday morning Pilates class held in the Westfield Community Hall, where the $5 entry is donated to the charity,” Mrs MacNellie-Verrall explained.

“My benchmarks for success are headed by building relationships with clients,” she continued, “and the experiences I give them while achieving the outcomes they want, and the level of engagement and involvement this community feels from the RE/MAX Property Professionals team.”

RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Joel Davoren said that “consumer confidence in the property market has remained strong in South East Queensland, with every evidence of some markets in the region strengthening.

“Melina has ambitious goals, with the people skills, market know-how and business acumen to achieve them,” Mr Davoren continued.

“Her energy and drive is evidenced in the fact that just over three months ago she was welcoming her new baby boy into the world.

“Three months and two weeks on, she’s opening her real estate office.”
