REA Group delivers increased value for leasing agents

REA Group has this week announced the expansion of its Connect offering to now include tools and services for leasing agents.

First released to sales agents in April 2021, Connect aims to streamline prospecting and helps agents win more listings with less effort.

The Connect suite of products brings together tools and insights from Australia’s #1 address in property, realestate.com.au, and industry-leading digital platform Realtair.

The power of Connect now offers leasing agents increased brand exposure across realestate.com.au, the tools to instantly build professional, on-brand digital presentations to pitch to new landlords, or existing customers, and the ability to secure a management agreement on the spot with digital signing.

To best position both leasing and selling agents when prospecting, the CMA within Connect now includes millions of leased and ‘for lease’ listings for all agents.

With seamless integration, agents can easily pull this data for use in digital presentations for prospective clients.

REA Group General Manager Residential, Simon Hope, said this complete picture of the rental market aims to help agents easily determine, or maximise, the rental yield of a property.

“Sales agents have experienced some great success prospecting with Connect, and we’re delighted to now expand this solution to include leasing agents,” Mr Hope said.

“We also expanded Connect late last year introducing a new Market Insights feature for selling agents.

“The inclusion this week of leased and ‘for lease’ listings into Market Insights enables agents to access up to date supply and demand metrics across the rental market.”

REA Group Chief Consumer Product Officer Val Brown added that the rental market has undergone rapid digitisation over the last two years.

Complementing the Connect offering, her team is focused on enhancing the tenant experience and creating efficiencies for leasing agents.

“Around 6.6 million Australians currently rent, that’s equal to around 31 per cent of the nation’s adult population and we saw audience visits to realestate.com.au’s rent section reach a new record in January.

“We aim to seamlessly connect this audience, property managers and property owners through innovative products that deliver a compelling consumer experience,” Ms Brown said.

“We’re looking forward to completing the upgrade of our rental application platform this year.

“1form will be phased out, and we’re currently upgrading customers to our new offering, Rental Applications in Ignite.

“We’ve spent the last six months onboarding select customers and their feedback has helped shape the new product to become Australia’s number one rental application management platform.”
