Immersive media technology company Matterport today announced a series of milestones that reflect the company’s tremendous growth since the 2014 launch of its end-to-end immersive media platform.
Matterport Spaces are complete digital representations of a real-world environments, and have seen increased usage across industries such as residential and commercial real estate, leasing, construction, and more. Users worldwide are creating around 22,000 new Matterport Spaces each month, with more than 300,000 Matterport Spaces created in total since launch.
Matterport also report that the numbers of spaces created per month have nearly tripled in the last year and that visitors to these Spaces have doubled since March to over seventy million visits and are now growing at almost two million additional visits per week.
Matterport now has customers in more than seventy countries, including Australia, with the international market accounting for more than twenty five percent of the company’s revenues. In July, the company acquired Virtual Walkthrough, a London-based company specialising in virtual tours for residential and commercial property.
