Terase Davidson feels a deep connection with Byron Bay.
Her cousin runs a well known restaurant in the coastal town, other family members have worked in trades in the community, and for several years, Ms Davidson herself ran an events and food business that showcased the best Byron Bay has to offer.
So, when it came time to pursue the next phase of her career in real estate, it made sense to establish her new venture in the community where she’d built those trusted connections.
“I wanted to come back to Byron because one, I feel deeply connected, and two, I knew I had a network where I had already built that trust and where there was a lot of equity in those relationships already built,” Ms Davidson said.
With a desire to focus on exemplary customer service, Ms Davidson said she knew joining national real estate brand The Agency, as their first agent in Byron Bay, was the right choice.
“I have a desire to be surrounded by people that are customer service focused,” she said.
“It’s important to me to be surrounded by people that are striving in the same direction and for the same outcome.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to work with industry leaders in every sense – innovation, technology, people and just their vision for the industry.”
Ms Davidson said her background was in investment banking and that she was a qualified chef before moving into real estate.
But she said both of those professions, and especially running, Taste Byron Bay had equipped her with a fine attention to detail and problem solving skills.
“I hate cookie cutter (approaches) and I like finding solutions,” she said.
“I love talking to people and I like connecting people, so even if there’s not a direct outcome for me, I just want to help people.”
Ms Davidson is also excited to represent The Agency in the prestigious Byron Bay market which she believes is made up of smaller micro markets.
“You have beach front pockets like Belongil, Wategos and to a lesser extent beachside at Suffolk that are priced completely differently due to location and scarcity.
“I enjoy sharing my local knowledge and insights and I am able to give vendors a competitive edge around the right marketing and pricing strategy and it helps me to connect with buyers in a very open, honest and transparent way.
“I absolutely love this region. I feel deeply connected to the community and have a solid understanding of the local market as well as the key drivers around pricing.”
The Agency CEO of Real Estate Matt Lahood said he was excited to have Ms Davidson represent the group in Byron Bay, which is one of its nominated growth areas and a key part of its future strategy.
“Terase’s knowledge of the local area means that she can provide the very best outcomes for her clients and with the backing of the national reach The Agency provides, she is sure to see great success in this exciting marketplace,” he said.
