Tommy Hilfiger’s former English manor for sale

A Connecticut estate previously owned by fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger is up for sale in Greenwich.

Listed at just under $9.7 million, the English manor-inspired property spans more than five acres and features a 691 sq m main house, according to the Robb Report.

The estate also includes a guest apartment above a garage and a poolside cabana.

Built in 1932, the property has seen substantial upgrades, including significant renovations carried out by the current owners in 2014.

It features a professional tennis court that has hosted matches between former owner Wojciech Fibak and eight-time Grand Slam winner Ivan Lendl.

The interior of the brick-and-stucco house is marked by vintage details such as wooden floors, high ceilings, and ornate wainscoting.

The house boasts four fireplaces, various patios, and arched doorways. A particular highlight is the study, distinguished by its elaborate plaster tracery ceiling.

The ground floor accommodates formal living and dining rooms, a spacious family room with a bar, and a large chef’s kitchen that is brightened by all-white cabinets and countertops.

Next to the kitchen, a breakfast nook features parquet flooring.

The second floor houses six bedrooms, with the main suite offering a private wing that includes a sitting room, fireplace, dressing room, and dual baths.

The property’s outdoor spaces are equally remarkable, designed by Southampton-based landscape architect Perry Guillott.

A wisteria-covered terrace leads to a pool house, which contains two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a game area.
