TRG names new Commercial Director as the group embraces expansion

Within two months of announcing its plans for expansion, The Rubinstein Group has named Jake Fahd as the director of its new commercial division.

TRG founder Gavin Rubinstein unveiled the appointment today, explaining Mr Fahd was an established commercial agent in the Eastern Suburbs and had been referred to him by a client, who recommended they connect.

“I was put onto Jake through a client of mine who has very high standards,” Mr Rubinstein explained.

“He spoke really highly about Jake and talked about him being very diligent, very efficient and transparent.

“So I just thought, I definitely need to meet this guy. We just started talking and thought that the synergy was right.”

In mid-June, Mr Rubinstein had indicated his business was preparing for expansion, including the opening of an additional office in Rose Bay and new branding which would see him continue an affiliation with the White family, but under an umbrella separate to the Ray White brand.

Discussing the decision to offer commercial real estate services, Mr Rubinstein said it was a natural progression for a team intent on serving its clients to the highest standard and meeting all their real estate needs.

“We’re just adding onto the repertoire to be able to provide more resources to our clients,” he reflected.

“Most clients we know deal in the commercial world. The amount of times I have had people ask the question do we handle commercial and we have ended up referring it, we thought why not find the right person to do it in house?”

Mr Fahd has already assumed his new role with TRG, and is looking to create firm foundations for the commercial division before its official launch in early September.

He comes to the brand with a track record of commercial sales in the Eastern Suburbs, having started his career with Ray White in 2018, and has previously built a successful commercial division elsewhere.

Mr Fahd has also set a number of commercial benchmarks in the area, including a yield record for a property in Rose Bay, and the $9.7 million sale of 332 New South Head Road, Double Bay.

He noted the boutique nature and strong reputation of the TRG brand would provide core foundations for an unsurpassed level of service.

“We just want to create something that people haven’t seen before,” he said.

“Commercial completes the TRG package.”

Mr Fahd noted TRG Commercial would revolve around the brand’s already established reputation for service and consistency.

“Real estate’s a service industry and that’s what we come back to at our core,” he said.

As for what he enjoys about commercial real estate, Mr Fahd said it was the opportunity to problem solve and create communities.

“People forget that property is really about lifestyle and how people interact and the quality of their day-to-day lives.

“The exciting thing about commercial real estate for me is being able to sort of grow those communities.”

TRG Commercial will operate out of the group’s new Rose Bay office, which is set to open later this year.

In the meantime, the commercial arm officially launches on September 1 when the group will be seeking to quickly establish a team of commercial experts to complement their thriving residential sales arm.
