Virtual tour startup teams up with realestate.com.au

As technology changes the face of the real estate industry, buyers and renters begin to expect added extras on their listings. Enter virtual tours, allowing customers to experience property in a new way, all from the comfort of their living rooms.

Currently only three per cent of all listings offer a virtual tour option, whereas Virtual Tours Creator (VTC) founder and managing director Tom Dorawa says as many as 70 per cent of buyers would prefer to be able to see a property virtually before committing to a physical inspection.

“This is a huge opportunity for agents to fill in this gap, the sooner they use it the easier they can establish themselves as innovative leaders and exceed competition,” said Mr Dorawa.

Since its launch in March 2018, VTC has attracted many agencies and the tours are popping up on property portals across the country. Through a partnership with realestate.com.au, agents are now able to offer the VTC tour in the second photo of the listing carousel on the platform.

“It’s a great way to showcase your property to local and interstate buyers. I have very limited computer experience and I find it a breeze to use,” said Mark Enggist from LJ Hooker, Gold Coast.

Each tour requires photos taken by a 360 camera at the property, a process which takes approximately 15-20 minutes. These pictures are then uploaded using the VTC software to create the interactive tour.

Early adopting agents have discovered the platform generates strong responses, not just from buyers, but also from renters. Ray White Coffs Harbour use the technology for their rental listings, and experienced record breaking enquiries with one traditional photo and the virtual tour.

“In the last month I have listed five new properties and being able to offer the 360 tool to my vendors has helped me to secure these listings. VTC has also provided excellent tips and support,” said Cameron Hamilton of @REALTY, Cairns

The tours can also be easily shared across social medial, maximising exposure for listings.
