Beatles fans can get an insight into one of music’s most famous names with the childhood home of lead guitarist George Harrison available for overnight stays.
According to The Dirt, the modest 86sq m, three-bedroom, one-bathroom terrace home in the outer suburb of Speke, in Liverpool, can be rented for just US$260 per night.
The home was recently sold at auction to a longtime Beatles fan who is now listing the property on Airbnb for others to enjoy and get a glimpse into where it all began for Harrison.
The new owner has renovated the 1949-built home, reinstating some of the features from Harrison’s time there, including outfitting the living room with a floral-printed couch and wallpaper similar to those that were in place in the 1950s.
Some of the home’s original elements also remain, including the closet doors, the bathtub, the bathroom sink and a kitchen buffet, which is now painted green and white.
Harrison lived in the property from the time he turned six and met Paul McCartney while waiting for the nearby Liverpool Institute school bus.
