Bottega has received approval from Brisbane City Council for a new luxury development at Bulimba.
The announcement:
The developer behind the unique and iconic Gold Coast project โ123OBRโ has taken its keen eye for design to a new level in Brisbane, receiving DA approval for a new, luxurious boutique residential development on the riverfront in Bulimba.
The plans come on the heels of the developerโs recent launch of the Broadbeach landmark which will see the creation of a “vertical village” beach house concept on the Gold Coast.
Its plans for the Bulimba waterfront have lifted the pace of projects currently under way by the design-led company.
Bottega, headed by Louis Mennes and Nick Malloch, has crafted a unique form for the Bulimba development with a distinctive nautical theme that will deliver nine exclusive residences for the site located at 69 Byron Street.
The development will comprise two buildings, one of four storeys and the other of three storeys, with each connected by open walkways.
The four-storey building will be topped by a unique rooftop resort for residents, the first to be approved in the area.
Bottega says the design for 69 Byron is inspired by the combined elements of a luxurious boathouse, evident from the waterfront elevation, and a Queenslander treehouse as visualised from the streetfront entry statement.
The 69 Byron development features floor-to-ceiling glass exteriors, with the riverfront building complemented by curved edges for each floor, visually presenting as the stern of a boat.
โWe deliberately pushed the boundaries of design with the boathouse influences to come up with an interpretation that both complements the natural setting and lays the foundation for an exclusive residential address,โ said Mr Mennes.
โThe design works in concert with a series of garden retreats throughout and, with the inclusion of the rooftop activation, we have created an intimate blend of shared and private spaces to enhance the living environment.
โWeโre proud of the design which we believe perfectly integrates these themes to produce an elegant interpretation of luxurious living by the river.
โWeโre also pleased that design excellence has been identified as a key element of our proposal and itโs encouraging to see the council supporting great design outcomes.โ
Bottega takes a bespoke approach to project design by collaborating with artists, craftspeople, designers, architects and master builders to create developments of distinction.
Just a few weeks ago, Bottega officially launched its debut apartment project โ123OBRโ to the market spanning 17-storeys and featuring 14 luxury whole floor apartments topped by a two level penthouse and a whole floor resort deck at the midway point of the tower.
