The Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki has sold his mansion in the celebrity-filled Outpost Estates neighbourhood of Los Angeles for US$11.1 million.
According to The Dirt, the record-setting sale is the highest price ever paid for a single-family home in the area, beating the previous high of US$10.5 million.
The classic home spans three levels across 613sq m of living space and boasts three bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms plus a two-bedroom and one-bathroom guesthouse.
Some of the key features in the home include separate living and dining rooms, a billiard room, a screening room, an eat-in kitchen and a library/office.
There are three bedrooms with ensuites on the upper level, along with the principal suite, which is fitted with two walk-in closets and a balcony that overlooks the tropical surroundings.
Some of the more practical elements of the home are tucked away in the basement, including the utility, laundry and storage rooms.

Set on just over half an acre, the detached guesthouse and garage sit outside, along with covered patios for alfresco dining, a swimming pool and spa and a speakeasy-style bar that opens directly onto the pool terrace.
The actor first tried to rent the property out for $45,000 per month before finally listing the property for US$11.9 million.
