Academy Award nominated actress Anna Kendrick has reportedly splashed out US$7 million to buy the Hollywood Hills Estate owned by Muse Drummer, Dominic Howard.
According to The Dirt, the Pitch Perfect star has decided to upgrade from her current ‘starter home’ she bought back in 2012 for US$1 million and move into the luxury residence that was also previously owned by Mila Kunis.
The 455sq m residence boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms and includes panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills.
The mansion features imported French oak flooring, a powder room, a library/study with a bar and corner fireplace, a soundproof movie theatre and steel-trimmed glass ceiling-high doors.
The yard is equipped with a pool/spa combo, plus grassy patches of lawn, a fire pit and a flagstone patio that connects to a raised wooden deck with an outdoor kitchen and alfresco dining options.
The entire third-of-an-acre property is shielded from prying eyes with tall walls and thick hedges as well as a high-tech security surveillance system.
Howard, the longtime drummer of acclaimed English rock band Muse, undertook significant renovations to the property with the help of New York and LA-based architectural design firm Studio Tim Campbell, before listing the mansion for sale with an asking price of US$7.7 million.
When Kendrick moves in she’ll be in good company with her new neighbours including Red Hot Chili Peppers’ John Frusciante, who owns two side-by-side homes, and Swedish pop star Tove Lo, whose own home was once owned by Danny McBride.
