New Zealand prop tech company Movinghub has appointed former realestate.co.nz CEO Brendon Skipper as Acting Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Kelly Addis.
Movinghub Global Chief Executive Officer Michael Dornan said Mr Skipper had more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles and would lead the company through its next stage of growth
“Brendon has a solid understanding of our business, the industry and furthermore, existing relationships with many of the partners we currently work with,” Mr Dornan said.
“Together with our executive team, Brendon recently played a key role in defining our strategy and the overall vision for the New Zealand business in 2020.
“Taking the reins, he will now drive the execution of this which includes establishing and building a high-performance culture within both our B2B and B2C teams – particularly, our consumer-facing call centre team of movologists which operates from our Auckland office.”
Mr Dornan said the new appointment also aligns to significant changes to the New Zealand business.
“Brendon’s track record in delivering strong commercial performance, outstanding relationships, empowering and building high-performance teams will drive the business to new heights as well as adding to our already highly experienced global executive team,” he said.
Mr Skipper said he was excited about the opportunity to be involved in such a dynamic business already leading the way in moving services for New Zealanders.
“Moving is known to be one of the most stressful things we do in life and with approximately 1,000-plus moves per day across the country, that’s a lot of stress,” he said.
“Our job is clear-remove some of that stress by having one point of contact to move all utilities including core services such as power, gas, broadband and TV services.
“We do this with a dedicated New Zealand based team of movologists, coupled with our advanced technology that specialises in taking the pain and time out of connecting services.”
Mr Skipper will take up the new position of Acting Chief Executive Officer at Movinghub immediately.
