Despite being due for completion in 2022, 55 per cent of units have already sold in a new industrial development at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.
The Announcement:
Industrial strength demand for high quality warehouse and self-storage space is driving a rush of astute buyers to a new architecturally designed development at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.
Burleigh Hub is an industrial project comprising 18 strata-titled properties in one of the city’s most centrally located and tightly held precincts.
Already 55 per cent of the units in the Whitemax Projects’ development have been sold following strong demand from both owner-occupiers and investors, who have moved quickly to secure A-grade space in the complex.
Construction works have commenced on-site and the development is due for completion in early 2022.
Warehouse units in Burleigh Hub range in size from 130sq m to 170sq m and are priced from $599,000 to $850,000, excluding GST.
Colliers International’s Marlon Crawford and Jacob Griffin are the exclusive marketing agents for the complex, which is being developed on a 3736sq m site at 90 Kortum Drive, one of the Gold Coast’s most sought-after and high-profile industrial precincts.
“The market is reacting quickly and positively to the project,” Mr Crawford said.
“It has seen strong demand and early activity from both investors and owner occupiers, who do not want to miss out on the convenient central location, unbeatable exposure, and solid investment potential.”
Mr Crawford said there were no signs of the momentum slowing in the Gold Coast industrial market and it was expected to remain buoyant for some time to come
“Booming e-commerce, transport and construction sectors along with low interest rates are setting new benchmarks and unlocking more capital,” he said.
Mr Griffin said the Gold Coast market was performing very strongly as a result of rapid growth in the city due to interstate migration.
“Burleigh Heads industrial market is fuelled with strong rental growth driving end values, providing astute investors with high performing assets,” he said.
In a prime elevated location with unrivalled exposure to over 30,000 cars a day, Burleigh Hub’s impressive warehouses feature exceptional designs that maximise the internal space and provide unrivalled finishes.
All units will feature ample natural light via full height glazing, mezzanine floors, high-clearance storage space, 3 phase power to each property and a wide internal driveway will provide easy access to each roller door entry. Surveillance CCTV cameras also will offer added security and peace of mind.
