Century 21, a real estate organisation with over 120,000 staff in 82 countries, recently launched their C21 IGNITE model, which tailors the franchising experience to agents wanting to operate remotely.
Realising that the real estate industry was evolving, C21 introduced a new fully supported model for high performing real estate agents to operate their own business without the need for a traditional office shopfront.
While the mobile agent concept is not new to real estate, the Century 21 model differs in the strength of its consumer-facing brand. Adding to this is the full backing of the franchise in terms of the latest tools, technology, training, and operational resources.
Targeted at agents who are after higher commission splits with the freedom to work remotely, C21 IGNITE is the designed as a solution for those wanting to take a positive step forward in their real estate career.
The model can also act as a stepping stone to starting your own bricks and mortar shopfront as the agents who join the model continue to grow their businesses whilst receiving the training and support required to do so.
“We have been looking for a way to appeal to the needs of young entrepreneurs looking to start their own business without the initial high costs of owning a bricks and mortar shopfront” said Century 21 Executive Director of Growth, Michael Baliviera.
“This mobile offering will also allow us to further expand our presence in areas where we are currently not represented by a physical office, so it is complementary to our growth strategy.”
Adding to the appeal is the continued partnership that Century 21 have with Bauer Media across the Home Beautiful website and magazine. It will also soon launch a national multichannel digital campaign that aims to further grow brand awareness and generate leads for existing offices and agents.
Chairman of Century 21, Charles Tarbey describes the new offering as “the perfect opportunity for agents to start their own business in a flexible environment while being backed by a consumer facing brand, unlike the other start-up models that buyers and sellers simply do not know”.
“By offering agents the choice to operate a shopfront or mobile model, we’re creating exciting career pathways for those looking to progress their career in real estate,” Mr Tarbey said.
Century 21 has received strong interest in their IGNITE model with the first mobile agents coming on board on September 1. The real estate shopfront will remain the group’s primary offering having recently welcomed in their new Burwood office.
“Shopfront operations will continue to dominate as it also encourages collaboration, training and recognition amongst our network so that all affiliates feel connected and supported,” Mr Tarbey concluded.
With over 4500 offices, Century 21 is the largest real estate sales organisation in the Asia Pacific region, a region vital to Australia’s continued economic success.
