Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has quietly sold a San Fernando Valley mansion he owned for US$6.5 million.
According to The Dirt, Combs never lived in the property himself and kept it as a home base for his former girlfriend and the mother of four of his six children, Kim Porter.
The estate was acquired by the rapper back in 2009 for US$5.3 million and was initially listed with a US$7 million asking price.
Built in 2006, the wood-sided structure features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms across nearly 930sq m of two-level living space.
Within the front door lies a double-height entry foyer sporting a checkerboard-style marble floor and curving staircase, topped by a crystal chandelier.
Other main-level highlights include an expansive living room warmed by a fireplace and a gourmet kitchen outfitted with a centre island and high-end appliances, plus a screening room.
Upstairs, the master retreat includes a fireplace, private balcony and spa-inspired bathroom with a soaking tub.
Outside, the manicured grounds are laced with mature sycamore trees, and host a large pool and spa with a Baja deck, shaded terrace ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining, and sports court.
There’s also a spacious motor court and three-car garage all behind walls and gates.
The new buyer is talent manager turned producer, Charles D King who will be moving into a celebrity-studded area, with neighbours including Sia, Viola Davis, Steve Carell and Billy Ray Cyrus.
